Candy Crush Saga Cheating Tips: How to Get More Lives

Updated on January 25, 2015

Candy Crush is Mean!

Candy Crush is a fun and addicting game for all ages. Even my 6 year old niece is addicted! The game continues to get more difficult and challenging with every level. The higher levels may requires several lives before you complete the task and move on forward. Just as you are getting the hang of how to clear a level, don't you find that you've used up all your lives and need to wait 30 minutes. 30 minutes?? That can seem like torture.

Why is it that you have to wait to play? This is a quick scheme to get your money! Makers of this game know that you and your children are impatient and think that you will not think twice before spending a measly dollar. But that measly dollar can add up! And before you know it, your iTunes credit statement or credit card may have monthly charges of $20 and upward just for a video game!

Options to Get More Lives (Without Cheating)

Here a list of options when playing by the rules to get more lives:

1. Pull out your wallet and pay $0.99 per life

Don't succumb to this! Don't waste your money on a video game!

2. Link to your Facebook Account and request friends to 'ADD Lives'

3. Wait 30 minutes

Facebook is Devious

Have you noticed that when you first log into Candy Crush it automatically connects you to FB and shows you all the extra lives that friends have sent? Unfortunately, the max lives you can have at any point in time is 5 so DO NOT click accept when you first log in!!

Essentially, all those favors that your friends send you go to waste. Instead, wait till you run out of lives to accept those favors and only accept as many as you need. Don't go accepting 10 lives at once because once again, the max lives you can have at one time is 5!

Why doesn't Candy Crush allow you store extra lives? No idea, but I can speculate that it might be a money scheme!

Get More Lives by CHEATING!

Now, I get to the meat of this article! There is a way to get more lives without paying or linking to facebook. Who has time to wait 30 minutes either, right? Time is precious and there are so many other things you could be doing than waiting for Candy Crush to reset!

Read below, the instructions are slightly different depending on whether you are playing on a conventional desktop or smartphone/tablet.

Computer Desktop CHEATING tips

Ok, so if you are playing on a computer or desktop, follow these instructions:

1. Go to the Date and Time setting for you computer

2. Change the date to one day ahead. For example, if it is July 1st 10:00pm, then change the computer date to July 2nd 10:00pm. Best not to change the time because you will likely forget to change it back. Changing the date by 24 hours will give you 5 more lives!

Smartphone/ipad/Tablet CHEATING tips

If you are playing on a smartphone or ipad, follow these instructions:

1. Go to the Setting and then go to Change Date

2. Change the date to one day ahead. For example, if it is July 1st 10:00pm, then change the computer date to July 2nd 10:00pm. Best not to change the time because you will likely forget to change it back. Changing the date by 24 hours will give you 5 more lives!

Have you cheated on Candy Crush by changing the Time or Date?
